There’s Lake Blue Ridge and Lake Nottely (two of Georgia’s most picturesque mountain lakes) with their Marinas, boat ramps, pontoon rentals, picnic tables, swimming areas, and National Forest Preserve Lands, as well as the only Walleye fishing south of the Great Lakes. The Toccoa River is a great destination for tubing, kayaking, canoeing and trout fishing. The Toccoa River Canoe Trail is perfect for paddlers looking for a few small rapids and some relaxing, beautiful scenery to pass the rest of the journey. As the Toccoa enters Tennessee it becomes the Ocoee River, known for its world-class whitewater rafting and host to the 1996 Olympic whitewater events. Whether you’re drifting in a tube or furiously paddling the rapids, it’s just a day “on the water”…with love, from Blue Ridge.

The Toccoa River Canoe trail starts at the Deep Hole Recreation Area and flows 13.8 miles to the new take-out at Sandy Bottoms. This trail offers various attractions such as blooming wildflowers, wildlife, great fishing, camping and wonderful rapids.
